We are seeking a creative and experienced Landscape Architect to join a growing Design-Build firm in their office in Dallas, TX.

This position works closely with Sales Consultants, Project Managers, and clients to develop innovative landscape designs for both residential and commercial design-build projects.


Role:

The Landscape Architect will lead the development of conceptual designs, schematic plans, and construction documentation, ensuring that designs are creative, functional, and buildable. The ideal candidate has experience working in a design-build environment, possesses strong residential landscape design creativity, and can translate design concepts into high-quality construction documents.

This role plays a key part in shaping outdoor environments through thoughtful design, plant selection, hardscape planning, and detailed project documentation.


Requirements:

Licensed Landscape Architect in the State of Texas or in process of licensure.

• Degree in Landscape Architecture or related field preferred

• Experience working in a Landscape Architecture Design-Build firm

• Experience designing both residential and commercial landscape projects

Strong creativity and conceptual thinking, especially in residential landscape design

Proficiency with AutoCAD (Required)

• Knowledge of Texas plant materials, regional horticulture, and landscape planting design

Ability to generate conceptual ideas through hand sketches, plans, sections, and elevations

• Experience with 3D visualization and design software, including:

  • SketchUp
  • Lumion
  • Pool Studio
  • Land F/X
  • Adobe Creative Suite

• Ability to manage multiple design projects and deadlines simultaneously

• Strong understanding of landscape architecture principles, spatial design, and site planning

• Knowledge of hardscape design, grading concepts, planting design, and construction detailing

• Knowledge of irrigation design preferred but not required 

• Personable, energetic, and professional with strong client-facing skills

• Excellent organization and time management skills with strong attention to detail


Responsibilities:

  • Manage residential and commercial landscape design projects from concept through construction documentation
  • Collaborate with sales consultants, project managers, clients, and vendors throughout the design process
  • Prepare concept designs, schematic designs, design development plans, permit drawings, and construction documents
  • Develop detailed plans including planting plans, grading plans, hardscape plans, layout plans, and construction details
  • Create compelling design presentations using 3D visualization tools and digital imagery
  • Research and recommend plant materials, finishes, site furnishings, and landscape features
  • Design creative outdoor environments including patios, pools, outdoor living areas, planting layouts, and site features
  • Coordinate with internal teams and field personnel to ensure design intent is implemented during installation
  • Address comments from cities, clients, and vendors during the permitting and installation process
  • Conduct site visits and assist with field coordination as needed
  • Maintain organized digital project files and studio workflow processes

Must have architecture experience with projects in the USA.
